Benin City – The Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, Edo State Council, has announced with deep sorrow, the passing of one of its members, Mr. Austin Adibe Emeyonu, who was the State Correspondent of THISDAY Newspapers.
According to a statement issued by the Council and signed by its Chairman, Dr Festus Alenkhe and Secretary, Mr. Andy Egbon, Mr. Emeyonu passed away on the night of Friday, October 17, 2025.
Adibe Emeyonu was full of life, on the said date of his death as he was spotted at the Press Centre, Benin City with his colleagues, interacting freely.
The NUJ Edo State Council has expressed its condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the late journalist.
