The dual celebration of His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II’s birthday and 9th coronation anniversary has been recognized as a driving force for cultural and economic renewal in Edo State.
Director General of the Edo State Tourism, Culture and Creative Economy Agency, Lady Vivian Elabor, hailed Oba Ewuare II’s reign for revitalizing the throne and fostering innovation in a statement. “You have not just occupied the throne; you have revitalized it, making it a dynamic epicentre of cultural renaissance and economic innovation,” Elabor stated.
Elabor underscored the significance of artefact repatriation, describing the returned bronzes as “sparks that will ignite global tourism, empower our artisans, inspire our youth, and fuel sustainable enterprises.” Lady Vivian Elabor committed to leveraging this foundation, saying, “We pray that the Almighty God and our ancestors continue to endow you with unparalleled wisdom, robust health, and enduring strength.”
The statement ended with acclamations of “Long May You Reign!” and “Oba Ghato kpere!… Ise!”
