Abuja – The Progressive Next Generation Initiative (PNGI) announced on Saturday that it has dissolved its interim executive committee, which was led by Hon. Faisal Lawal, just three months after its inauguration. In a statement, the group’s Convener, Hon. Jeffery Omoh Ozemegwa, said the move follows ongoing structural reviews aimed at strengthening internal cohesion and repositioning the organisation for data‑driven political engagement and grassroots mobilisation, beginning with the Federal Capital Territory.
Ozemegwa praised Lawal and the members of his team for what he described as their “notable contributions, sacrifices and stabilising support” during the organisation’s formative phase. He added that the interim committee had helped consolidate outreach structures and deepen internal processes within the period.
The Convener announced that he will now assume direct supervision of PNGI’s activities pending the unveiling of a substantive executive committee after consultations are concluded. “PNGI’s strength lies in its collective identity; every member is an equal stakeholder expected to contribute to the group’s growth, policy engagements and strategic political analysis,” Ozemegwa said.
He reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to fostering inclusion, innovation and civic‑driven participation as it expands its grassroots footprint and refines frameworks for political communication, electoral education and community engagement. Ozemegwa also disclosed that PNGI is preparing to host the AMAC Chairman on December 2, 2025, in an engagement expected to deepen collaboration with key stakeholders in the FCT governance ecosystem.
