Abuja – First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, marked the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3, 2025, with a message urging Nigerians to build a more inclusive society. The day’s theme, “Fostering Disability‑Inclusive Societies for Advancing Social Progress,” was highlighted by the First Lady as a call for renewed commitment to accessibility and empowerment for all citizens.

In her statement, Senator Tinubu said, “Today, I join millions of Nigerians and the global community to mark the 2025 International Day of Persons with Disabilities. This year’s theme calls for renewed commitment to inclusion, accessibility, and empowerment.” She added that the day serves as a reminder of the collective duty to create a society where everyone, regardless of ability, has the opportunity to thrive, participate, and contribute meaningfully to shared progress.
