The Standup for Women Society (SWS) FCT Chapter celebrated the end of 2025 with a Thanksgiving Service at NTA Arena Chapel, Abuja, on December 14th. The event featured singing, dancing, and a sermon emphasizing the importance of annual gratitude to God.
Following the service, members gathered at Aso Village, Sabon Lugbe, under Kabusa Ward, for an outreach program, distributing gifts to over 1500 women and children. The gifts included hair accessories, food items, household essentials, clothing, footwear, and handbags.
The outreach was part of SWS’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, aimed at giving back to the community. Chairperson Lib Mina Daniels stated that the organization would continue to support other communities in the coming year. “We are very grateful for this visit, we don’t take it for granted and we look forward to more next year,” said Comrade Tokwase Josiah, Women Leader of Aso Community.
Hon. Princess Gladys Ngozi Joseph, Councillor Candidate for ADC Kabusa Ward, described the exercise as massive, stating that members shocked her with the show of solidarity and that the exercise will boost her chances in the forthcoming elections in February 2026. “The exercise was massive, and I’m grateful for the show of solidarity,” she said.
Lib Grace Oshinyemi, a National Officer, thanked God for the gift of life and encouraged members to prepare for 2026 and make such projects regularly from community to community.
The event concluded with a visit to NTA Sports Inaugural End of Year Party Awards in solidarity with Treasurer Lib Rachel Ayeni.
