The Honourable Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd) OFR, has challenged the graduates of Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) to embrace innovation and technology in shaping the future of Nigeria’s defence and security sector.
Musa gave the challenge during the institute’s 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Combined Convocation Ceremony for the award of degrees, Diploma and presentation of special prizes in Kaduna. “The future of our nation’s technological advancement lies in your hands, your knowledge and skills are vital to the security and progress of our country,” he said.
The Minister emphasized the vital role of education and technological innovation in shaping the future of Nigeria’s defense and security sectors. He commended the graduates for their hard work and urged them to uphold the values of discipline, professionalism, and dedication as they transit into their professional careers.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Mr Richard Pheelangwah, Musa said AFIT, renowned for its cutting-edge research and exceptional training program, continues to foster a generation of highly skilled personnel, who contribute to the advancement of Nigeria’s defence capability.
The Commandant of the Institute, Air Vice Marshal Adeniran Ademuwagun, extended his best wishes to the graduates, hoping they would continue to serve with integrity and dedication to the nation. The convocation ceremony featured the conferment of Degrees and Awards on outstanding graduates.
