The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the timetable for the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), giving candidates across the region a clear schedule for the exams. The examination will commence on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, and end on Friday, June 19, 2026, starting with Foods and Nutrition 3 (Practical) Planning Session and Home Management 3 (Practical) Planning Session.
The timetable outlines the sequence of subjects, helping candidates organise their study plans, avoid clashes, and prepare effectively. WAEC advised candidates to carefully review the schedule and adhere strictly to examination guidelines to avoid errors or missed papers.
Some of the subjects and their scheduled dates include Further Mathematics 2 (Essay) and 1 (Objective) on Thursday, May 21, 2026, General Mathematics/Mathematics 2 (Essay) and 1 (Objective) on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, and English Language Essay and Objective on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.
The examination will take place across WAEC’s member countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and The Gambia.
