Israel’s military reported a new missile salvo from Iran on Friday, with its air defenses operating to down them. Israeli emergency services reported some damage to houses and cars from an unintercepted cluster missile, while Israeli military radio said a train station in Tel Aviv was damaged by shrapnel.

US President Donald Trump warned that the US military “hasn’t even started destroying what’s left in Iran. Bridges next, then Electric Power Plants!” Trump made the statement on his Truth Social platform, escalating tensions between the US and Iran.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi responded, saying “striking civilian structures, including unfinished bridges, will not compel Iranians to surrender.” Iran has vowed to carry out “crushing” attacks against the US and Israel in response to Trump’s threats.

The conflict began over a month ago with US-Israeli strikes on Iran, triggering retaliation that has spread throughout the Middle East. The Strait of Hormuz, a vital oil shipping route, has been effectively closed by Iran, prompting Gulf nations to push for a force to protect shipping.

A virtual meeting hosted by Britain called for the immediate and unconditional reopening of the strait, with representatives from over 40 countries attending.
