ABUJA – The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the commencement of a nationwide digital membership registration drive. This initiative, approved by the National Working Committee, will span across all wards in the 36 States of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory.
The registration exercise is set to begin on Monday, March 2, 2026, and will continue for three weeks. According to the party, the primary objective of this digital drive is to compile a comprehensive digital membership register, aligning with the requirements of the Electoral Act 2026. This Act mandates all political parties to submit their digital membership registers to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Registration will be conducted daily, excluding Sundays, at all Ward, Chapter, and State offices of the Party. Special cases requiring additional attention will be handled at the National Secretariat. To ensure a smooth and efficient process, a special committee has been established, headed by the National Organising Secretary, Hon. Theophilus Daka Shan. This committee will oversee the exercise and address any complaints that may arise.
The party is encouraging all members and the general public to visit their nearest PDP office within their respective wards to participate in the registration. For further information or inquiries, individuals can contact 08035555800 or send an email to info@iampdp.org.
The statement was signed by Comrade Ini Ememobong, mnipr, National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, and dated February 28, 2026.
