Abuja, Nigeria – The Honourable Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd), OFR, has called on the Nigerian media to exercise professionalism and responsibility in their reporting, specifically urging them to avoid disseminating terrorist propaganda. He emphasized that such actions are “capable of demoralising troops and giving undue publicity to criminal elements.”

The Minister assured Nigerians that the Armed Forces, in conjunction with other security agencies, are redoubling efforts to combat terrorism, banditry, and other forms of insecurity threatening national stability. Musa implored Nigerians to continue supporting the military and other security agencies by providing credible information that could assist ongoing operations. He stressed that tackling insecurity necessitates a “collective effort,” warning that “individuals who aid criminal groups with information or logistics would be treated as accomplices and dealt with accordingly.”

He further reassured the populace that under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Federal Government remains dedicated to supporting the Armed Forces and other security agencies in their mission to restore peace and security across the country.
