Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has named former spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Olisa Metuh, Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani, and Hon. James Abiodun Faleke among prominent figures to lead the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, the political mobilisation platform set up by President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election.
Uzodinma, who serves as Director General and National Coordinator of the organisation, announced the fresh appointments in a statement on Friday, saying the move is aimed at strengthening the RHA’s operational structure across the country. The statement was signed by Tunde Rahman, Director of Media and Publicity of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors.
“Uzodinma said the organisation was established by President Tinubu in November 2025 to disseminate the activities and achievements of his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda to every part of the country,” the statement read.
Under the new structure, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State serves as Deputy Director General, Gombe State Governor Mohammed Inuwa is Secretary, while Faleke comes in as Deputy Secretary. The organisation also has six Zonal Coordinators, 37 State Coordinators, and 774 Local Coordinators spread across the country.
Uzodinma further announced the appointment of 16 Directors to head the organisation’s directorates. Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi takes charge of Youth; Chief Olisa Metuh heads Organization and Mobilization; Mr. Tunde Rahman leads Media and Publicity; Mr. Sunday Dare oversees Digital and New Media; and Mele Kolo Geidam heads Finance. Muiz Banire, SAN, takes charge of Monitoring, Compliance and Legal, while Bisoye Coker-Odusote heads Technology and Data, and Abubakar Rabiu Abubakar leads Support Groups.
“Chief Olisa Metuh heads Organization and Mobilization,” Uzodinma said. He explained that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors is structured to connect with voters, influence public perception, and translate government policies into political goodwill ahead of the 2027 polls.
Chief Metuh served as PDP National Publicity Secretary between 2012 and 2016 and has recently participated in peace-building initiatives across party lines. In November 2025, President Tinubu congratulated Metuh on his 60th birthday, describing him as “a committed bridge-builder and a stabilising voice in Nigeria’s political space” in a statement issued by his special adviser on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
The group said it is raising volunteers nationwide to enlighten Nigerians on the economic reforms of President Bola Tinubu. “We currently have 5.3 million members nationwide, and we are consolidating to increase the number to 10 million members, so that the election can be a walkover for our president,” National Convener, Dr Oke Idawene, said at a Southwest Summit of the group in Osogbo.
