Rev Prophet Dr Hungbenu Michael Olusegun, Founder of Celestrial Deliverance Church of Christ, C.D.C.C W/W, Zhidu Village, Abuja, has issued a solemn and urgent national security alert to the Federal Government, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, security agencies, the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, religious leaders, and all Nigerian citizens over what he described as a curious and troubling influx of bus loads of northerners, especially youths, into Abuja satellite towns on an almost daily basis.

Speaking from his Abuja headquarters on May 8, 2026, the Prophet said, “I am not a politician. I am a prophet. And I am sounding a spiritual and practical warning. What is happening in the outskirts of our Federal Capital Territory calls for critical action. We are seeing bus after bus—mostly young men—arriving daily into communities like Zhidu, Piwoyi, Lugbe, Gwagwalada, Kuje, and others. This is not a normal migration pattern. Something is wrong.”

Rev Prophet Dr Hungbenu Michael Olusegun emphasized that he is not against any tribe, region, or religion, stating that his concern is purely for national security and the safety of all Nigerians regardless of where they come from. “This is not about ethnicity. It is about unusual patterns that security agencies must investigate. If these young men are coming for honest work, let them be documented, integrated, and supported. But if there is any hidden agenda—including crime, terrorism, or destabilization—the government must act now before it is too late,” he warned.

He called on the Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, the Department of State Services, DSS, the Nigeria Police Force, and the Military to immediately conduct stop-and-search operations at major entry points into Abuja satellite towns, profile and document all new arrivals in large groups, engage local traditional rulers and community leaders in Zhidu, Piwoyi, and surrounding villages to report suspicious movements, and establish joint security task force patrols in these corridors on a 24-hour basis.

“We cannot wait for a tragedy to happen before we act. Abuja is the heart of Nigeria. If the heart is compromised, the whole body suffers,” the Prophet said.

In a frank and fatherly admonition, Rev Prophet Dr Hungbenu Michael Olusegun turned his attention to the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, calling on the body to rise to its divine mandate. “CAN is meant to be the father of all Christians in this nation. Not a contractor. Not a political lobby. Not a wealth-seeking enterprise. A father,” he said.

The Prophet advised CAN leadership to shun the search for wealth, return to the divine call, and be exemplary. “The pulpit is not a marketplace. The altar is not a bank. CAN leaders must stop chasing contracts, government appointments, and personal enrichment. That is not the calling of Christ,” he said. He urged CAN to work collaboratively with the government on security matters without losing its prophetic voice. “You can partner with the state without becoming a puppet of the state. Speak when Christians are killed. Speak when any Nigerian is oppressed. But also speak when our own leaders go astray. That is fatherhood,” he added.

Rev Prophet Dr Hungbenu Michael Olusegun also issued a strong message to all community leaders across the Federal Capital Territory and its surrounding environment, including traditional rulers, village chiefs, ward heads, youth leaders, landlords’ associations, and market leaders. “You are the eyes and ears of our communities. The government and security agencies cannot be everywhere. But you are there. You see who comes in. You see who leaves. You know when strangers arrive in unusual numbers. You cannot afford to be silent or indifferent,” he declared.

The Prophet charged all community leaders to be vigilant, establish community intelligence networks, report promptly, not compromise for money, and engage their people through town hall meetings to sensitize residents on security awareness. “To every traditional ruler in Abuja – from the Ona of Abaji to the Esu of Bwari, from the Sarki of Gwagwalada to every village head in Piwoyi, Zhidu, Kuje, Kwali, and everywhere in between: wake up. Do not sleep on duty. Do not allow your community to become a hiding place for criminals or worse. You have a responsibility before God and before the people,” he said. He added, “If you see something, say something. And keep saying it until someone acts. A leader who keeps quiet while danger gathers is not a leader – he is an accomplice.”

He also called on religious leaders in all Abuja communities, both Christian and Muslim, to use their platforms to preach peace, vigilance, and cooperation with security agencies. “The pulpit and the minbar are not just for sermons. They are for saving lives. Warn your congregants. Teach them to be watchful. And pray without ceasing,” he said.

Offering spiritual counsel for the nation, Rev Prophet Dr Hungbenu Michael Olusegun said, “The battle for Nigeria is not only physical. There is a spiritual dimension that we ignore at our own peril. The enemy does not fight with bullets alone. He fights with confusion, fear, division, and strange movements that go unnoticed until it is too late.”

He advised security agencies not to rely only on their guns but to pray and seek divine wisdom. “Corruption in the ranks is a spiritual problem before it becomes a physical one. Cleanse your hearts, and God will give you victory,” he said. To religious leaders, he said, “Stop competing for who is holier. Start competing for who serves the people better. Your mosque and your church should be centres of intelligence for peace, not platforms for incitement.” To community leaders, he said, “You are watchmen on the wall. Do not sleep. Do not sell your community for silver. The safety of your people is your sacred duty.” To citizens, he said, “Do not be afraid, but do not be careless. Be vigilant. Know your neighbors. Report suspicious activity. Love your country enough to protect it.” To the government, he said, “Do not dismiss warnings because they come from a prophet. The Bible says, ‘Despise not prophesyings.’ Investigate every credible concern. A stitch in time saves nine.”

The Prophet led the nation in a prophetic prayer, declaring, “Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I lift Nigeria before Your throne. Lord, every plan of the enemy to turn Abuja satellite towns into a den of violence – we scatter it now. Every evil agenda hidden inside those bus loads of youths – we expose it and render it impotent. Lord, give wisdom to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Surround him with counsellors who fear You and love Nigeria. Do not let him be isolated from the truth. Lord, anoint the security agencies with the spirit of discernment. Frustrate every ambush. Expose every sleeper cell. Give them courage without corruption. Lord, visit the leadership of CAN. Purge them of greed and love of money. Restore the fear of God in their hearts. Let them serve the vineyard of Christ with clean hands. Lord, raise watchmen among every community leader in Abuja and across this nation. Do not let them sleep on duty. Give them courage to report, wisdom to act, and protection from harm. Lord, protect every innocent citizen – Christian, Muslim, traditionalist – in every village, town, and city of this nation. Let no weapon formed against us prosper. And Lord, raise watchmen on the walls of Abuja. Let not the heart of Nigeria be pierced while the watchmen sleep. This I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.”

Concluding with a unifying appeal, Rev Prophet Dr Hungbenu Michael Olusegun said, “Nigeria is passing through a delicate season. We do not need more division. We do not need more hate speech. We need vigilance. We need prayer. And we need action. To the northern youths arriving in Abuja: if you come in peace, you are welcome. But you must also be willing to be identified and to abide by the laws of this territory. To the government: treat them with dignity while doing your duty to secure the rest of us. To every community leader in Abuja and its environment: you are not a spectator. You are a gatekeeper. Act like one. And to CAN: take your position as a father. Not as a beggar. Not as a politician. As a prophet of the Most High God. God bless President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. God bless the security agencies. God bless CAN. God bless every community leader who stands for peace. And God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

In a final statement, the Prophet said, “I have no enemy in this nation. I am not fighting any tribe or religion. I am fighting for the safety of my people. The strange influx of bus loads of youths into Abuja satellite towns must be investigated. Community leaders must wake up. CAN must stop chasing wealth and return to the vineyard of Christ. And all of us must pray. Nigeria will not fall. But we must wake up.”

The release was issued on the 8th day of May 2026 by Rev Prophet Dr Hungbenu Michael Olusegun, Founder, Celestrial Deliverance Church of Christ, C.D.C.C W/W, Zhidu Village, Abuja.
