The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has expressed readiness to partner with Governor Ademola Adeleke on the re-election of President Bola Tinubu ahead of the January 2027 general election.

The party disclosed this on Friday in Osogbo while announcing the mobilisation of 10,000 door-to-door canvassers for the President’s re-election campaign.

The Chairman of the party, Tajudeen Lawal, said the party structure backed by the leader of the party in the state, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, and the APC governorship candidate in the 2026 election, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, and the state executive, have concluded plans for the mobilisation.

He said the canvassers would be inaugurated on Saturday in Osogbo and would take the campaign to the grassroots across the 30 local government areas of the state.

“We have mobilised about 10,000 members of our party for door-to-door campaign for President Bola Tinubu to take the good deeds of his administration to the grassroots across the 30 local government areas of Osun State,” Lawal said.

Lawal said the party structure is ready to partner with Governor Adeleke, who is the coordinator of the Presidential Campaign Council for Tinubu’s re-election in Osun.

Responding to Adeleke’s leadership of the PCC, Lawal said it was resolved that the state APC would work with the governor to return President Tinubu in the election.

“The leadership of the APC in the state appreciated the resolve of Governor Adeleke to work for the re-election of President Tinubu in the forthcoming presidential election,” he said.

He urged the governor to do everything necessary to incorporate all stakeholders, including APC leaders and members, in the interest of achieving the desired goal.

“We have resolved that the Osun State chapter of the APC should continue to work and mobilise the electorate for all the candidates of the party for the National Assembly and the state House of Assembly in the forthcoming elections,” Lawal added.

He said the party has also resolved to set up a campaign council saddled with the campaign for the National Assembly and House of Assembly candidates of the APC.

Meanwhile, Adeleke and Oyetola on Saturday in Osogbo inaugurated 30 campaign vehicles donated by the convener of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, in support of the presidential campaign.

Adeleke, who was represented by his deputy, Kola Adewusi, said the gathering showed willingness among political parties and groups to work across party lines.

“Our unity of purpose and determination to join hands for the re-election of Mr. President is manifested today by this assembly of supporters across party lines. We all gathered here solely to promote and market Mr. President for continuity,” Adeleke said.

He urged coalition partners to forget past disagreements and unite to deliver between 1.5 and 2 million votes for the President in Osun.

“Our partnership and coalition unity is mainly based on the presidential election,” he said, clarifying that each partner will still campaign for its own National Assembly and State Assembly candidates.

Delivering Oyetola’s address, Oyebamiji said the re-election project has continued to attract support beyond the traditional boundaries of the APC.

“I appreciate the fact that the re-election project of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has continued to attract support beyond the traditional boundaries of our great political party,” Oyetola said through Oyebamiji.
