The Police High Command on Friday unequivocally dismissed allegations of forgery, alteration, falsification, and unlawful production of a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate leveled against the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, describing them as baseless.

Speaking on the matter, the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police Benjamin Hundeyin, revealed that a thorough police investigation into the allegations found them to be untrue.

Hundeyin stated, “It has been established that there is no evidence whatsoever of forgery, alteration, falsification or unlawful production of the minister’s NYSC certificate.” He further elaborated, “after an exhaustive investigation into the allegations, it has been established that there is no evidence whatsoever of forgery, alteration, falsification or unlawful production of the minister’s NYSC certificate.”

The Police confirmed that the NYSC was contacted, and it was verified that the certificate was legitimately issued by the corps to the minister. Consequently, Hundeyin concluded that “The allegations are therefore unfounded.”
