Durella has revealed why he and D’banj never made music together during the Mohits era. In a recent Naija FM interview with Ruggedman, Durella claimed he was signed to Mohits back in 2004, but Don Jazzy suppressed songs like the Tongolo remix because their voices and styles were too similar.

“Don Jazzy suppressed songs like the Tongolo remix because our voices and styles were too similar — so D’banj could shine, and no collaborations ever happened,” Durella said. Despite this, a song titled Je Ko Bounce, featuring D’banj and Durella, was released post-Mo’Hits, leaving fans wondering what could have been.

Durella’s claims have sparked interest, with many awaiting responses from D’banj and Don Jazzy on the matter.
