Four young children, aged about two and three, have been brutally stabbed and killed at a nursery school in Kampala, Uganda. The three boys and one girl died instantly in the incident, which occurred at the Ggaba Early Childhood Development Program school premises. The victims were identified as Eteku Gideon, 2, Ryan Odeke, 2, Ignatius Sserwange, 3, and Kaise Alungat, 3.

The suspect, Christopher Okello Anyu, 39, was arrested after posing as a parent seeking to enroll a child. Angry parents attempted to lynch him, but police intervened and detained him. “He paid for admission and then proceeded to attack these children, killing four of them instantly,” said Racheal Kawala, Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson.

Investigations are underway to determine Anyu’s motive and background. The remaining children at the school were safely returned to their parents. The Uganda Police Force extended its deepest condolences to the affected families, assuring the public that efforts are underway to ensure a thorough investigation and justice for the victims.
