Commissioner of Police FCT Visits National Judicial Institute, Pledges Robust Security Support

The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory Command, CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, Ph.D, fcai, on Thursday, April 16, 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the Administrator of the National Judicial Institute, Hon. Justice B.A. Adejumo, OFR, as part of his ongoing institutional engagement since assuming office.

In a statement issued Thursday, Head, Information, and Public Relations, Kolade Umoru, said CP Sanusi reaffirmed the Police Command’s commitment to safeguarding judicial institutions and ensuring a secure environment for staff and operations. He noted that the NJI plays a critical role in justice administration and pledged to deploy well-trained personnel to the Institute’s Police Post. “The Nigeria Police Force will continue to provide robust security support to institutions of national importance. The NJI is a pillar of justice, and we are determined to protect its people and facilities,” CP Sanusi stated.

Welcoming the Commissioner, the Administrator of the NJI, Hon. Justice B.A. Adejumo, OFR, congratulated him on his appointment and commended his proactive leadership. Justice Adejumo expressed gratitude for the Police Command’s sustained partnership with the Institute and urged NJI staff to cooperate with officers assigned to the Institute. “We are delighted to host CP Sanusi,his commitment to collaboration assures us of continued safety. I encourage management and staff to work closely with the police personnel who will be deployed here,” Justice Adejumo said.

Kolade Umoru added that the visit highlights CP Sanusi’s hands-on approach to institutional security and reinforces the mutual trust between the Police Command and the National Judicial Institute. Kolade Umoru signed the statement for the National Judicial Institute.
