Orhionmwon Council Chairman Commends Governor Okpebholo for Swift Rescue of Kidnapper Woman

The Executive Chairman of Orhionmwon Local Government Council, Hon. Thompson Osagie, has commended the Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for his swift intervention and decisive leadership that led to the successful rescue of a middle-aged woman abducted at the Vegetable Market along Airport Road, Benin City.

Hon. Osagie described the successful rescue operation as a testament to Governor Okpebholo’s unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property across Edo State. He noted that the Governor’s prompt response to the incident further demonstrates his administration’s resolve to confront insecurity and ensure the safety of all residents.

According to the Council Chairman, the rescue of the victim and the apprehension of the suspected kidnappers have strengthened public confidence in the government’s security strategy and sent a strong message that criminality will not be tolerated in Edo State.

“The swift rescue of the victim and the arrest of those responsible underscore Governor Monday Okpebholo’s commitment to safeguarding the lives of Edo people.
