PDP YOUTH MOBILIZE FOR IBADAN CONVENTION, REAFFIRM BACKING FOR DAMAGUM-LED NWC

The Forum of Zonal and State Youth Leaders of the PDP has rallied behind the Damagum-led National Working Committee, emphasizing unwavering support and condemning disruptive elements within the party. In a statement issued after an emergency consultative meeting led by Comrade Seyi Bamidele, the forum warned against agent provocateurs and political merchants seeking to destabilize the PDP. “The so-called meeting convened by a few impostors to endorse illegality is a disgrace to the ideals and values of the PDP. Their action stands condemned in the strongest terms possible,” the youth leaders stated. They reiterated full confidence in Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagum, praising him as a unifying leader who has ensured peace and order. Comrade Bamidele highlighted the mobilization for the Ibadan 2025 National Youth Convention, calling it a “mass movement and rebirth of the PDP youth structure” and asserting that genuine youth members are solidly behind the current NWC. “We are not distracted by noise from political jobbers. Our mobilization for the Ibadan convention is massive, legitimate, and unstoppable,” he said. The forum urged all youth members to remain steadfast, resist manipulation, and work collectively to restore the PDP’s dominance in upcoming elections.
