The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has recorded 4,264,675 members in its ongoing digital membership registration exercise, according to National Publicity Secretary Comrade Ini Ememobong. The registration, which was initially scheduled for three weeks, has been extended to April 30, 2026, due to high demand.

Ememobong stated that the exercise has shown that politicians are defecting, not the electorate, with millions of Nigerians trusting the PDP despite current challenges. “These Nigerians, in their millions, have heeded that time-tested spiritual injunction cautioning people against joining the broad pleasurable path that leads to destruction, admonishing instead that we use the narrow road which leads to emancipation,” he said.

The registration data shows that the South West leads with 953,954 members, followed by the South South with 917,652 members. Kaduna State has the highest number of registrants with 408,915 members, followed by Edo State with 378,033 members.

The PDP attributes the registration success to Nigerians’ dissatisfaction with the current APC-led government, citing insecurity and maladministration. “The APC knows that there are many Nigerians who are deeply disenchanted with their rudderless leadership and are only waiting for the ballot to teach them a lesson and send them out of power,” Ememobong said.

The party has urged members to ensure they are properly registered on the digital platform, with the authentic website being (info@iampdp.org)
