It is about guaranteeing the safety of our people, ensuring justice, promoting development and creating opportunities for every citizen to thrive. His Democracy Day message is a powerful call for national renewal and shared responsibility,” Hon. Osagie said.
He commended the Governor for the remarkable steps being taken to strengthen security across Edo State through closer collaboration with security agencies, community-driven intelligence gathering and sustained efforts to combat kidnapping, cultism and other criminal activities.
Hon. Osagie also praised the administration’s developmental strides under the SHINE Agenda, noting that the investments in healthcare, education, infrastructure, youth empowerment and economic development are practical demonstrations of the dividends of democratic governance.
The Orhionmwon Council Chairman stated that the Governor’s unwavering commitment to good governance and people-centred policies continues to inspire confidence among the people and reinforce the belief that responsive leadership remains the cornerstone of democratic progress. He further lauded Governor Okpebholo’s appeal for accountability, transparency and adherence to the rule of law, stressing that these values are indispensable for building strong institutions and safeguarding Nigeria’s democracy for future generations.
“As Nigerians reflect on the significance of June 12, we must embrace the Governor’s call to reject violence, shun divisive politics and work together to build a nation founded on peace, justice and mutual respect. The future of our democracy depends on our collective resolve to protect it,” he added.
