The Executive Chairman of Orhionmwon Local Government Council, Hon. Thompson Osagie, has saluted the council’s workforce on the occasion of Workers’ Day, describing them as the backbone of progress and commending their resilience, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment.
In a message addressed to staff of the council, Hon. Osagie said it was with great pride and deep admiration that he addressed them on Workers’ Day, a moment set aside to honour the strength, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment of the workforce. “I heartily congratulate each and every one of you for your steadfast dedication and the indispensable role you continue to play in the progress and stability of our local government,” he said.
He noted that the day serves as a powerful reminder that the true strength of any administration lies not merely in policies or leadership, but in the collective effort of its workforce. “You are the pillars upon which the structure of governance stands, and the driving force behind every success we record. Your diligence, discipline, and loyalty have continued to distinguish Orhionmwon as a council of purpose and promise,” he stated.
Hon. Osagie acknowledged the resolve of workers in difficult times, saying they have remained resolute in the face of challenges and shown courage in times that demanded sacrifice. “Your commitment to duty, often beyond the call of expectation, speaks volumes about your character and your belief in a greater vision for our people. I do not take these efforts for granted, and I acknowledge you today with profound gratitude and respect,” he said.
Reaffirming his commitment to staff welfare, the chairman said his administration would continue to prioritize policies that promote staff well-being, enhance productivity, and create an enabling environment where every worker can thrive and perform at their best. “As your Chairman, I reaffirm my unwavering commitment to your welfare and professional growth. I am fully conscious that a motivated and well-supported workforce is essential for sustainable development,” he added.

Let it also inspire us to strengthen our unity and deepen our resolve to deliver impactful service to the people of Orhionmwon,” he said.
