Plateau State Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang will formally join the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday, January 2, 2026, following his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). In a December 29, 2025 letter, Mutfwang cited “purposeful leadership, clarity of direction, and effective service delivery” as reasons for leaving PDP.
“Given the realities of the moment, I’m compelled to seek an alternative platform,” he said. Mutfwang thanked PDP for providing him a platform, appreciating members’ loyalty. Joining APC aligns Plateau’s development with Federal Government policies, accelerating growth and democracy dividends.
The APC membership card ceremony happens at Victoria Gowon Hall, Government House, Rayfield, 11am, followed by a visit to APC Secretariat, Kalwa House, Jos. Party faithful are invited to witness this historic occasion. “Breaking barriers of division remains central to achieving collective growth,” Mutfwang reaffirmed.
